Authenticate Small Devices On LAWN

Thanks to the OIT LAWN Team, a new feature was recently released but not widely announced (yet) that allows one to authenticate devices to LAWN via another computer browser. This should prove very useful for authenticating devices (e.g. robots, game consoles, etc.) that do not have a programmable network stack or browser capabilities. All you need to know is the ethernet address for the device. The device will keep it's DHCP lease until it rebooted. Scheduled System/Network Maintenance Policy

TSO manages CoC's core network equipment as well as a large number of servers and desktops. To stay current on critical security and stability patches, regular scheduled system/network maintenance windows are being established. During these maintenance windows, server computers, desktop computers and network switches may be rebooted and will be generally unavailable for brief periods of time. The purpose of this document is to communicate the policy and procedure that TSO follows to regularly update these systems and networks.

OutLANd Networking Policy

TSO maintains a range of IP network addresses, referred to as OutLANd, that may be used for non-TSO-managed systems. The purpose of OutLANd is to provide a network for systems that require a fixed IP address (and associated DNS name) but are not managed by TSO OutLANd is intended for those with special and compelling computing needs and is not intended as a convenience for users who simply want to administer their own system.
