Cortex XDR Installation
WHAT'S HAPPENING?
A campus wide communication went out in mid-July regarding the retirement of FireEye and the rollout of Cortex XDR as the campus's Anti-Malware software (a copy of the original message is below). In an effort to best support the College of Computing, TSO will be proactively performing the uninstall of FireEye and the install of Cortex XDR prior to the campus cutover in mid-September.

This work will be performed in batches between 8/11/21 and 9/15/21.
macOS 11 Big Sur Update
UPDATE: If your computer is enrolled in JAMF, it is now safe to upgrade to Big Sur - JAMF will perform a check when you run the Big Sur installer and a warning will pop up if there is software that needs to be updated before upgrading to Big Sur. It is also a good practice to make sure that other software on your computer is up to date before upgrading to minimize the chance of issues following the upgrade.
Enrolling in JAMF Pro
As part of the Endpoint Management & Protection Compliance campaign, users are required to have JAMF Pro installed on their GT owned Apple equipment. JAMF Pro is an application used by TSO to configure and automate IT administration tasks for macOS and iOS. Enrolling your computer in JAMF is a simple process, but does require Administrative privileges.
