1. Open Outlook 2011.
2. If this is your first time opening Outlook, you'll be prompted to add an account; choose Exchange or Office 365.  Otherwise, click Outlook > Preferences > Accounts > + > Exchange.
3. In the Mail Account Setup window, input the following:

The Android interface and capabilities can vary significantly depending on the version, device, and any carrier interface changes.  Most Android devices that are current as of the time of this writing support the Office 365 email, contacts, and calendaring (generally, only the primary calendar) environment.  Other software, such as Touchdown, may provide additional capabilities.

Outlook 2010 sp2 or newer is required to access Office 365. Microsoft Office 2010 and 2013 are available from software.oit.gatech.edu for use on qualifying machines (see the License Information for Office on software.oit.gatech.edu for details).  Note:  the steps are the same for Outlook 2010 and 2013.

Archiving in Outlook 2011 for Mac is achieved using rules to automatically copy over messages older than a set number of days into a local folder. These steps demonstrate how to automatically move mail out of your Exchange mailbox, and place it on your local computer's hard drive. Please keep in mind archived messages will not be viewable through Outlook Web App (OWA) because they are no longer stored on the Exchange server. Once this mail is moved out of the Exchange mailbox system, you will be the only one who has a copy.

Archiving mail in Mac OS X Mail is quite simple.  First, select the mail items you wish to archive.  Individual folders will not work for this process, mail within folders must be selected.  Then, select Message -> Archive (as shown).

Archives should be stored locally. They tend to get corrupted when you access them from a network folder. However, your local workstation/laptop isn't being backed up. So, you should backup the archive to secondary media, like a network folder or USB key, in case of a hard drive crash.

Seeing that Outlook allows for automatic and manual archiving, it only makes sense that it can also open an archive file.  To do so, select File, then Open, then Open Outlook Data File.

In the Open Outlook Data File window (which defaults to the My Documents\Outlook Files folder), select the data file you wish to open (archive in this case) and click OK.

Outlook has the ability to archive email to a local file.  This allows for decreased email load on the server (thus, a reduction of Inbox size) and for easy transfer of older mail between computers.  While Archiving runs, you may notice Outlook become less responsive during the process.  Once complete, response times should return to normal.
