In November 2012, the Office of the Provost identified one-time (nonrecurring) funds to refresh existing and outdated instructional laboratory equipment on campus. TSO submitted three, prioritized proposals to refresh CoC's oldest instructional lab equipment (see below):
BAIRD Lab Hardware Upgrade and DMGL Relocation
Through a Techfee grant, TSO has upgraded the BAIRD cluster to 20, Supermicro desktops, Intel Xeon X3430 (4-core) CPUs, 16GB RAM, 120GB solid state drives (SSD), nVidia GTX550 TI graphics cards and 24" LCD monitors.
SHUTTLES Cluster Receives Hardware Upgrade
Through a Techfee grant, TSO has upgraded the SHUTTLES cluster to 5, SuperMicro servers, dual socket, 2.4GHz Intel Xeon E5620 (4-core) CPUs, 24GB RAM, and dual 80GB solid state disk drives (SSD).
