At approximately 10:00 PM, Monday, October 27, 2008, power and cooling were lost in the KACB server room. TSO responded and shut off all non-essential core servers. The UPS was able to maintain DNS, www.cc.gatech.edu, the CoC Zimbra servers email.cc.gatech.edu and email2.cc.gatech.edu, and Windows backups until 2:00 AM, October 28, when power and cooling were restored. The cups print server printhost.cc.gatech.edu was brought back up at 2:00 AM, and intranet.cc.gatech.edu was restored at 9:45 AM.
