Through a Techfee grant, TSO has upgraded the SHUTTLES cluster to 5, SuperMicro servers, dual socket, 2.4GHz Intel Xeon E5620 (4-core) CPUs, 24GB RAM, and dual 80GB solid state disk drives (SSD).  The OS on all SHUTTLES nodes is Red Hat Enterprise Linux 5.8.  The SHUTTLES cluster is available to all CoC faculty and students, as well as any student enrolled in a CS course.   Use your GT credentials to access the cluster.  It can be used for lightweight and medium-weight computing, but is not intended for heavyweight compute jobs or research usage.  For instructional high-performance computing, please use the JINX cluster (the JINX cluster is also available for general-purpose research computing as well).  For general-purpose research needs, please use the KILLERBEE cluster.
