Tuesday(01/06/09) from 18:00 until 21:00
WHAT IS HAPPENING?
Due to a networkproblem that happened around 1:00 pm this afternoon,
many campusservices were unavailable, or sporadically unavailable,
until about2:15pm. Since then, services areavailable, but some are
in degradedmode. This maintenance window is torestore those services
to completefunctionality.
WHO IS AFFECTED?
The followingservices will potentially be impacted, but where possible
OIT will dorolling restarts so that multi-homed services (such as
webauth)
should still beavailable:
Webauth (used forauthentication for MyGatech, T-square, and other web
services)
Campus directoryservices
Passport
Pharos PrintingServices (Cluster Pay-for-Print)
OIT Windows FileServer
OIT Website
CoE Matrix VLAB
EFFECT(S) OF DOWNTIME:
Due to themulti-homed nature of most services, only a few should be
impacted
(such as the OITwebsite).
ACTIVITIES NECESSARY AFTER DOWNTIME:
None should benecessary.
