WHAT HAPPENED?
Several popular websites were unreachable.  These sites included, but are not limited to, twitter.com, surveymonkey.com, netflix.com, spotify.com, and reddit.com.

 
WHEN DID IT HAPPEN?
October 21, 2016.

 
WHY DID IT HAPPEN?
A Distributed Denial of Service (DDoS) attack against DynDNS, one of the larger DNS providers, has affected connectivity to several external websites.

 
WHO WAS AFFECTED?
Anyone trying to access the affected websites.
 
 
WHAT DO YOU NEED TO DO?

HAS THE ISSUE BEEN RESOLVED?
Not completely.  Some of the websites are again available, while others remain inaccessible.
