Update: Fri, 05/09/08 10:50AM TSO-Operations will begin to shutdown services in the following order on Saturday morning starting at 3am. This process takes about four hours to complete:

Research servers
Research home directories
Samba Server
DNS
Webservers
Email
Active Directory (CC domain)
Identity Management servers
Home directory servers (neotrantor.cc, trantor.cc) Network

The shutdown order is performed in this way to best preserve a stable state on our systems and network over the power down time frame. The ordering also aids us in the power up of systems after 5pm.

Please note that we will attempt to have all services on line by 11:59pm Saturday night. If any services or systems are failing after this point, we will update support.cc.gatech.edu with detailed info. about the failure.

Facilities has scheduled a power outage for the College of Computing Building for Saturday, May 10, 2008 from 7:00 AM to 5:00 PM for switchgear maintenance. This maintenance will result in an outage of all IT Core services, all CCB machine room equipment, and all access control systems (IE Card Readers) for the College of Computing. This also affects network conductivity to and from TSRB and Klaus. TSO will be onsite Saturday to ensure all services are available once power is restored to the building.
