At 4:18 AM on Thursday, July 10, 2008, the collaborative research server churchlady.cc.gatech.edu had one of its hard drives drop out of its RAID array. The server continued to function with the degraded RAID until it was taken offline at 5:00 PM on July 10 for repair. A power cycle returned the drive to operational status, and the server was again providing services at 6:44 PM.
