From approximately 8:15 AM until 11:45 AM on Tuesday, July 5, 2016.
 
 
WHY DID IT HAPPEN?
The static web content server esperanto.cc.gatech.edu became unresponsive, causing NFS mounting issues on the following web servers:

Affected servers:
nikto.cc.gatech.edu
scouter.cc.gatech.edu
wildfire.cc.gatech.edu
 
 
WHO WAS AFFECTED?
Anyone attempting to access one of the affected sites during the outage.


WHAT DO YOU NEED TO DO?
No user action is required.
 
 
HAS THE PROBLEM BEEN RESOLVED?
Yes.  Esperanto was rebooted, and the NFS mounts were restored on the affected web servers.
