WHEN IS IT HAPPENING?
Tuesday, March 20, 2018, from 6:00 to 7:00 AM.


WHY IS IT HAPPENING?
These servers utilize authentication through Windows servers run by TSO that are in the process of being decommissioned.  This outage will direct CCSAMBA to utilize the replacement Windows authentication servers.  More information regarding the decommissioning can be found here: GFORD and here: CARTER.


WHO IS AFFECTED?
Users of resources mounted from ccsamba.cc.gatech.edu. This includes Faculty and some Staff CoC network home directories.


WHAT DO YOU NEED TO DO?
No action is required, however, long running file copies or moves that are occurring during this time may be aborted and will need to be restarted.
