At approximately 3:50 PM, Monday, August 31, 2009, the primary net controller that handles door control card readers for the CCB lost its configuration. This caused most doors controlled by a card swipe reader in the CCB to lock down. The 2nd floor and all proximity card readers except for the front lobby of the CCB were unaffected. The net controller was brought back online and permissions are being reloaded. Doors that default to unlocked were again unlocked as of 4:20 PM, August 31. However, permissions may take up to 3 hours to reload, so until permissions are reloaded, doors that require a card to unlock will not open.
