WHAT’S HAPPENING?
There will be a brief outage affecting the servers in KACB 2219. The following servers may be affected by the power outage, but TSO is working to have any VMs hosted on hardware located in KACB failover to CCB hardware.

WHEN IS IT HAPPENING?
Affected servers will be powered down starting at 6:45AM on Friday, January 24th in preparation for work to begin at 7AM. Servers will be brought back online as soon as the APC technician has completed the necessary work, and should be back online no later than 8AM.
WHY IS IT HAPPENING?
Following the power outage on January 11th and 12th, the APC UPS system in KACB 2219 experienced a hardware failure with the static bypass switch module. APC is sending a repair technician to replace the faulty module.
WHO IS AFFECTED?
All College websites may experience an outage during this repair window, as well users of the following services.
Affected services: adminfs, Windows and Linux home directories, Uniflow Printing (hollister.cc.gatech.edu), Request Tracker (help.cc.gatech.edu), CoC CrashPlan Service, mailman.cc.gatech.edu
WHAT DO YOU NEED TO DO?
Affected users should save their work prior to the maintenance period and be prepared for service interruption during the maintenance window.
Users should avoid sending mail to Mailman mailing lists during the maintenance period. Mail sent to mailman lists during the maintenance period will not be queued and will need to be resent.
